Irish IT services and consulting provider Version 1 plans to create 90 jobs over the next two years.

The company already employs 300 staff at its Dublin-based headquarters and at offices in Cork and Belfast.

At the official opening of its new corporate headquarters in Dublin today, managing director Justin Keatinge said the company was halfway through a major recruitment programme.

"Our growth plans are on track with annual turnover increasing by 40 per cent to €25 million this year. Based on a strong deals pipeline, we are forecasting an additional 20 per cent growth in sales next year.”

Speaking ahead of today's announcement, Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton said: “If we are to get out of this crisis and create the levels of employment we need, we must create an indigenous engine of economic growth."
