CRH coy on Suez talks

Building materials group CRH has refused to say whether it is involved in discussions with Egyptian group Suez Cement about taking a 25 per cent stake in Suez. Reports from Cairo last week said that CRH and the French group Ciment Francais were the only two companies to submit offers for the 25 per cent stake. Yesterday, Suez said it is involved in negotiations with the best bidder and that the outcome would be announced this week.
