Although part of the Carlton Hotel Group, it is understood that all hotels in the group are operated independently and have different ownership structures. As a result the other eight hotels in the group are expected to be unaffected by the receivership.

The company behind the Kinsale property is Gable Holdings Limited, a Cork-based property company.

Tadhg O’Brien and John Twomey are listed as shareholders of the company.

The company had a shareholders’ deficit of €6.02 million in the year ended August 2011, compared to a deficit of €4.4 million the previous year.
