Warehouse lettings 

Lambert Smith Hampton has completed two warehouse lettings on Dublin’s northside.

An Post has taken a 20-year lease without any breaks on a building of 1,356sq m (14,595sq ft) at KVS Business Park in Balbriggan.

The headline rent will be €96 per sq m (€9 per sq ft) and the building will be used as a new delivery service facility.

In Santry, a building of 922sq m (9,924sq ft) has been let to an Irish pharmaceutical wholesaler, Eurodrug Ltd, on a long term lease.

HWBC now Guaranteed Irish

Dublin-based HWBC has been confirmed as the latest entrant to the prestigious Guaranteed Irish programme.

The commercial property agency is one of the few remaining Irish brands at the top end of the commercial market.

It was founded in 2005 and has a staff of 36 with a combined experience of over 400 years in both Irish and international property markets.

Blackrock site down 500,000

Lisney has dropped €500,000 from the €2.25 million asking price for a redevelopment site of 0.24 of a hectare (0.6 of an acre) at Brookfield Terrace, just off Carysfort Avenue in Blackrock, Co Dublin.

A commercial warehouse on the site extends to 1,718sq m (18,500sq ft) and could be let.

Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council is planning to rezone the area for residential use in next year’s review of the county development plan.

Ross Shorten of Lisney says the site is ideal for a townhouse or duplex residential scheme.

Farm Foods on the lookout

Farm Foods, the UK retailer that has over 400 stores in Britain, is planning to open a number of outlets in the Dublin area.

Mark Reynolds of agent Savills says the frozen food specialist is looking for suitable shops of around 557sq m to 836sq m (6,000sq ft to 9,000sq ft) in local and district centres and small retail parks with adjoining car-parking.

Alternatively, Farm Foods will also look at development sites of around 1.85 hectares (about 0.75 of an acre).
