AN INTERESTING redevelopment opportunity will arise shortly on Dublin’s Westland Row when CBRE offer for sale the former Dan Dooley car rentals premises.

Michael Harrington of the agency is quoting €2.8 million for the property which has extensive frontage on to Westland Row where there is high footfall because of its proximity to Pearse Street Dart Station.

The property includes a part three- and four-storey building with a total floor area of 892sq m (9,600sq ft). The ground floor plate extends to 488sq m (5,252sq ft). Adjoining retailers include Centra convenience store, Trinity Pharmacy, Il Caffè di Napoli and the former Oisín Gallery. Most of the buildings on the opposite side of the street are owned and used by Trinity College.

Harrington said that, when redeveloped, the complex should appeal to retailers and restaurateurs while the upper floors could be used for a variety of purposes.
