Cellular world to expand

CELLULAR World, the mobile phone retail chain is to add another 12 outlets to its network in a £750,000 expansion

CELLULAR World, the mobile phone retail chain is to add another 12 outlets to its network in a £750,000 expansion. Four of the outlets will open in the first quarter of this year.

These include one in Grafton Street, Dublin, which will be run in conjunction with Esat Digifone. The shop will be branded as an Esat Digifone sales centre.

According to Cellular World, the shop will be a flagship store for the company, while providing a walk in service for Digifone. Cellular World predicts that the store, on the site of the former Smith's chemist, will attract up to 10,000 new subscribers in the first year, representing revenues of £7 million.

The expansion will increase its outlets to 29 and will create 20 jobs. The company currently employs 53 people.
