Bundesbank ponders rate cut

Bundesbank president Dr Hans Tietmeyer said there is no reason for German interest rates to go up, and that the Bundesbank is continuing to examine whether they might be cut further. He said the German economy was going through a period of pronounced economic weakness, but was not in recession.
