British Telecom has picked up a £9.7 million contract to manage a new call centre in Cork one of Europe's largest.

British Telecom has picked up a £9.7 million contract to manage a new call centre in Cork one of Europe's largest.

Under the contract, BT's Leisure Entertainment Travel and Services (BT LETS) division will manage around two million calls a year for RCI, the world's largest timeshare exchange company.

RCI's service allows timeshare owners to swap their holiday weeks for alternative locations around the world. BT LETS is part of the business division of BT which turned over £320 million in 1997.
