BioResearch animates its new Internet site

BioResearch Ireland has launched a new Internet site, BioZone (http://www.biores-irl.ie/biozone), aimed at highlighting the growing importance of biotechnology to the economy, environment and health.

The site uses striking animated graphics to explain some of the biotechnological processes, and includes a glossary explaining commonly used scientific terms. It also provides information on university courses and the biotechnology industry in Ireland. To promote the site a poster depicting the uses of biotechnology will be sent to secondary schools throughout the country. BioResearch Ireland was established in 1988 to commercialise the ideas and expertise of Irish colleges and institutions.
