Bank seeks orders for €26.17m

TWO BUSINESSMEN are being pursued by Bank of Scotland Ireland for €26

TWO BUSINESSMEN are being pursued by Bank of Scotland Ireland for €26.17 million in judgment orders arising from guarantees allegedly given by them over loans to a firm to buy property.

In separate proceedings in 2009, Liam Moran and Vincent Maguire had summary judgment orders for some €10 million granted against them over guarantees they provided to investors in a property firm wound up last May.

In earlier, different actions, summary judgment orders were also sought against them for almost €11 million from their involvement in other property-related matters.

James Doherty for BOSI yesterday told Mr Justice Peter Kelly there was no appearance entered for either Mr Maguire or Mr Moran, but time for entering an appearance had not expired.
