An Post has chosen to instal J D Edwards' OneWorld software as part of a £3 million project. It will be used to integrate An Post's financial applications and enhance its management information systems. The first phase of the project will take place this year, linking 350 users across its letter post, post offices and special distribution services business divisions. The new system will replace a number of custom built applications and will help the company to accommodate Year 2000 and EMU requirements. An Post plans to roll OneWorld out across the entire group by 2000.
