From January 26th to March 23rd, any three US-based fare-paying passengers flying to Ireland from an Aer Lingus-served airport in the US can bring a fourth person free.

Prices start at $358 (€398) for a round trip per person, with the fourth traveller getting a free ticket, Aer Lingus said. The offer did not apply for the St Patrick's Day festival period.

The Aer Lingus board met yesterday to review progress on its restructuring plan.
