Dublin-based wearable media company Adwalker has reached an agreement allowing it to offer its services to clients of outdoor-advertising firm Poster Publicity.

The three-year deal will allow Adwalker to provide its services to all of Poster Publicity's client base, which includes British Airways, Levi's, Philip Morris, Visa and Estee Lauder.

Adwalker produces a vest with a viewable screen displaying advertisements that is worn by an employee.

The vest includes a touchscreen with a wireless internet connection, which can be used for customer interaction, such as game-playing or financial transactions.

Adwalker client and health insurer BUPA used the touchscreen to allow potential customers to obtain insurance quotes after answering a series of questions, according to Mr Michael Irwin, Adwalker's chairman.

Additional Adwalker clients in the Republic include Coors Light, Lucozade and Volvo.

"We believe that Adwalker is well-placed to expand and create a global media network," chief executive Mr Simon Crisp said. "It is important that we take advantage of our worldwide first-mover status."

Adwalker plans to focus on rolling out its product across western Europe, North America, and Asia through regional offices in London, New York and Singapore by the end of 2004.

Adwalker expects to begin operations in 11 countries in the next three years, Mr Irwin said.

Adwalker debuted on the London over-the-counter market OFEX on April 19th.

Adwalker's price rose 87 per cent to 15p on its first day of trading.

Yesterday it was trading around 19p.
