Andy Irvine and Paul Brady hit the highways and byways
Hear one of the greatest Irish folk albums of all time live next May
The men responsible for one of the best Irish folk albums in the canon join forces again for an Irish tour in May. Andy Irvine and Paul Brady’s self-titled album was released in 1976 and, 40 years later, still sounds champion. There are some notes from Irvine about the recording of the album here.
The duo head out an Irish tour next May with Dónal Lunny and Kevin Burke, both of whom played on the album which Lunny produced at Rockfield Studios in Wales, along with them to mark the occasion. They play Opera House, Cork (May 19); Vicar Street, Dublin (May 20); Millennium Forum, Derry (May 25); University Concert Hall, Limerick (May 26); Black Box Theatre, Galway (May 27) and Ulster Hall, Belfast (May 28). Tickets are €45 or £36 plus Ticketmaster charges, fees and bouzouki tax.
