Here are the latest New Music selections from the On The Record column in tomorrow’s edition of The Ticket. Please feel free to share tips below or check out all past New Music selections here.

Priory

Thanks to new single “Weekend”, expect Portland’s Brandon Rush and Kyle Sears to feature on many hitlists and playlists in the coming months. Recorded in an old cement factory, “Weekend” is a jam in the “Pumped Up Kicks” vein, a track full of melodies and hooks to keep everyone smiling.

Lowell

Infectious new-school pop twists and turns from the Calgary-born, Toronto-based Elizabeth Lowell Boland now signed to Arts & Crafts. Debut album “We Loved Her Dearly” is due in September so expect a record loaded with radio-friendly pop and politically-aware lyrics.

We Raise Bears

Dublin-based duo Conor Miley and Sharon Murphy met as music students and began to plot some beguiling indie-folk first as Rubaiyat before going all ursine on us. Check their Facebook page for a series of videos (especially “A Way Home”) recorded in a farm outhouse in Roscommon for hints of what’s to come from their debut EP currently in the works
