Here are the latest New Music selections from the On The Record column in tomorrow’s edition of The Ticket. Please feel free to share tips below or check out all past New Music selections here.

Timeless, classic soul music from Paris with a big helping of the Yoruba tradition in the shape of twin sisters Lisa Kaindé and Naomi Díaz, the daughters of noted Cuban percussion don Migeulito ‘Angá’ Díaz. Recently signed to the XL label, Ibeyi’s material is deep, spiritual and hugely striking.

A winning combination of effortlessly cool Nineties’ pop throwbacks and fresh sassy attitude, Juce are a London all-girl trio who sound as if they’ve the soundtrack to the summer already wrapped up. New slinky cut “Braindead” carries on the Juce tale begun by debut track “Call You Out”.

Bewitching and beguiling sounds from Toronto-via-Montreal electro soul singer (and Solange backing singer) Akua. Her recent “One’s Company” EP is wall to wall with great sultry pop tunes and superb production twists from Twin Sister’s Andy Bauer and Martin Rodriguez. One to fall for.
