Here are the latest New Music selections from the On The Record column in tomorrow’s edition of The Ticket. Please feel free to share tips below or check out all past New Music selections here.

Sylvan Esso

Thanks to tours like Volcano Choir, Why? and Man Man, the collaboration between Amelia Meath (also of Mountain Man) and Nick Sanborn (Megafaun) is already up and running. Tracks to date are full of eclectic, folktronica twists and turns, especially forthcoming single “Coffee”

Kiesza

“Hideaway” is the track which alerted many to the talents of Canadian-born London-based singer Kiesza Szosi. An old-school dancefloor belter thanks to her mighty voice, “Hideaway” is just one string to the bow of this former ballerina, navy recruit, cruise ship singer and Miss Universe Canada contestant.

Patrick Freeman

New York-based Klkennyman Patrick Freeman catches your ears with the superbly toned melodic purr of all four tracks on his “Perfect Fit” EP. A singer-songwriter with a background as a session guitarist, Freeman’s solo work hits a very high mark indeed.
