Here’s a piece I wrote for today’s paper on seminal US music TV show Soul Train and Questlove’s ace new book on the characters, personalities and performances which made it such a wow during the Seventies and Eighties. There’s obviously something in the air right now about Soul Train because that brilliant writer Nelson George also has a book on the way about the show and its presenter Don Cornelius. The hippest trip in America is still going on.
