Here are the latest New Music selections from the On The Record column in tomorrow’s edition of The Ticket. Please feel free to share tips below or check out all past New Music selections here.

Expect much praise for the debut album “Trust” from Matthew Siskin when it arrives in October. His songs are full of tender, evocative small hours moods and gloriously downbeat harmonies all delivered with a suitably raspy voice. The New Yorker is also a design wiz and has worked on websites for Beyonce and various fashion brands.

Icelandic youth living in Copenhagen, Disa Jakobs’ sounds are full of beguiling, ethereal sounds, the softest of electronic pulses and a compelling voice. “Sun” is the track you need to hear right away, a beautiful piece of musical grace. Thanks to OTR reader Emmett Mullaney for the heads-up

Lily & Madeline

Indianapolis sisters Lily and Madeline Jurkiewicz have found many fans with “In the Middle”, a beautifully spry, bittersweet and nimble tune which became a micro YouTube hit. Expect the teenagers’ forthcoming debut album for Asthmatic Kitty to be full of similar folky magic.
