On the back of last week’s news that the Wu-Tang Clan were set to play shows in Dublin and Cork, it now transpires that the mooted show at Dublin’s Tripod on July 1 will not be going ahead.

Per Mark Murphy from Choice Cuts, one of the show’s co-promoters along with POD, the show had never been announced publicly by them in the first place as their offer to the act had been withdrawn “for various reasons” 10 days ago. “The date was put up on Wu Tang’s site…there have been several agents working for them on the European dates this summer, so this has led to the confusion.”

However, the Cork show at the Savoy on June 30 is happening and tickets are now on sale for it at €32 a pop.
