Hilda Wyse was in top form at the Heath recently where she plays off a handicap of 20. She was just pipped by Ursula Horgan (13) in the Conquer Cancer singles on the back nine on the Tuesday. But the following Sunday she teamed up with Nuala Arrigan, who plays off 19, and this time the countback went in her favour. She won the club fourball, on the back six, with 27 points.

Meanwhile, Ursula Horgan has also retained her good form. She won the gross prize in last Tuesday's club singles competition, while Eileen Fingleton, who was just edged out by Horgan and Wyse in the charity singles, had some consolation when she won the captain's prize to the women on Sunday.
