Tiger Woods shot four straight bogeys early in the second round of the Casio World Open in Japan yesterday to lose touch with the leaders after the second round. Woods, who hit a spectator with a wayward drive in his opening round, shot a two-over-par 74 to lie six strokes behind leader Hidemichi Tanaka, winner of the Japan Open in October. Tanaka had a three-under-par 69 to be on 137, one stroke ahead of compatriots Toshimitsu Izawa and Naomichi Ozaki.
Playing his first tournament in Japan, Woods had four straight bogeys from the sixth, again having trouble with his tee shots and approaches to the green.
