A five-stroke improvement from the opening day at Castelconturbia, Italy, was not sufficient to keep alive Ireland's hopes of winning the European Women's Junior championship for the first time since its inauguration 31 years ago.
With five of the six scores counting, Ireland recorded a 36-hole total of 807, which put them in 10th place, missing out on top flight qualification by some 20 strokes.
They will now be involved over the next three days in a round robin contest also taking in Wales, Austria and Finland, while England and Scotland bid for glory in the championship flight.
