UNDER siege for almost the entire second half at Belfield yesterday, Wilson's Hospital's undeniable courage saw them through to the Leinster Schools' Senior Cup Section A final.

Tries by centres Jody Swanton and Barry Leonard, both converted by Barry Loughrey, gave St Wilson's a 14-point first-half total. In between, St Columba's number eight Patrick Syme pinched a try.

Ten minutes into the second half prop Charles Langley was the man in possession when St Columba's mauled their way to their second try. This time hooker Nicholas Wheeler converted.
