Finn Harps 1 UCD 0:FINN HARPS made it two wins from two at Finn Park this season as they overcame UCD in a game of few chances.
Sean Roddy and Conor Gethins both fired over the target early on for Harps while Ian Bermingham connected with UCD's first corner only to see the ball flash across the face of goal.
Finn Harps went ahead on 24 minutes when a throw-in from Jonathan Minnock was headed clear but only into the path of Shaun Williams who let fly from 25 yards to give Matt Gregg in the UCD goal no chance.
UCD raised their game and went close on 62 minutes when Paul Byrne headed just wide from an Alan Mahon cross.
