Dermot Weld's 1996 Irish Oaks winner Dance Design (Michael Kinane) will be a tough nut to crack in the Group One Grosser Dallmayr-Bayerisches Zuchtrennen, over 10 furlongs, in Munich tomorrow. Dance Design, unbeaten in three outings this term, will start at cramped odds to beat a field which includes Clive Brittain's Needle Gun.
Brett Doyle's mount has already acquitted himself well in Germany this season, but the much improved Oxalagu may deprive him of second. Darryll Holland has picked up a local mount in Narrabeth.
Brian Meehan has booked Cash Asmussen for his juvenile Dernier Croise in the Group Three Prix de Cabourg, over six furlongs, at Deauville today. Andre Fabre and Criquette Head's respective winning debutants, Xaar and Frozen Groom, look the ones to beat in the seven-runner field. Another that should go well is the Group-placed Charge d'Affaires.
