"This page is dedicated to the battle against soccer's destruction of the world," says the intro to this site. (Blimey). "The fact that soccer is destroying the world should be obvious to most intelligent people, but still there are some weird individuals in our world who haven't realised this." (Doh!). The author of this site (yes, you've guessed, he's American) invites visitors to comment on his theory that football (and its supporters) is stupid and violent. Bad move. "You are probably some unathletic loser who couldn't make the soccer team and therefore tried to rid the world of the sport. I also think that you have way too much time on your hands to create such a meaningless website. Get a life," says one message.

"You're just jealous that soccer players get all the women and are a present from God," says another. "You know, I have found that people that hate soccer, just don't have the mental capacity to understand the greatest game in the world - I will therefore assume that you are among this group of people," says a third. And then there's this one: "Hooligans are people who normal people have destroyed because they are more intelligent than you are." (Answers on a postcard. . .) Thankfully not everyone is rude to our footie-hater: "Hello. I will try to be nice. Football isn't dangerous, is it? I love soccer and I am very smart." The debate rages on.
