David Vine has been presenting BBC's snooker coverage for as long as anyone can remember. This year the corporation will screen 100-hours play and a lot of it will go out at peak times rather than at a late-night slot. Vine as you will remember has under gone many evolutions. Having covered tennis, showjumping, skiing, greyhound racing, rugby union, weightlifting and bowls, he also used to present A Question of Sport, Superstars, It's a Knockout, Miss World, Ski Sunday and even the Eurovision Song Contest. Sharp memories may remember Vine for hosting the Eurovision the year ABBA won it with Waterloo.
