A well organised UCC, aided by a 37th-minute goal from Ian Twiss, saw off the challenge of UL in a tension-packed game in Limerick yesterday.

It looked good for the home side when, despite playing into the breeze, they turned over with a 0-6 to 0-5 advantage.

However, it all went horribly wrong on the change of ends and a string of wides saw them pay a heavy price when Billy Sheehan carved the opening for Twiss to beat goalkeeper Hugh Murphy.
