Police are investigating the death of Laura Patterson (43) who was pronounced dead at Charity Hospital from massive head injuries suffered at the Louisiana Superdome.

The Green Bay Packers and New England Patriots will compete for the National Football League championship at the Superdome tomorrow in the 72,000 seat stadium.

Investigators were uncertain whether human error or mechanical error caused the death. They were examining the riggings and ropes used in the routine. Two prior rehearsal jumps had been completed successfully.
