Good Counsel, New Ross, the Leinster and All-Ireland champions, cruised into the semi-final of the Leinster colleges senior football A championship yesterday when they easily overcame Salesian College, Celbridge, at New Ross.
The game was virtually over as a contest at half-time when Good Counsel, despite having played into the teeth of a very strong cold wind, led 2-4 to 0-1.
The champions then continued to dominate the second half and proved worthy winners.
