RACING / News and previews: Aidan O'Brien's focus will switch from Leopardstown to New York tonight as Hold That Tiger tries to redeem his tarnished reputation in Belmont Park's Woodward Stakes.

The Grade One will be the first time Hold That Tiger has raced on dirt since running third in last year's Breeders' Cup but flops in the 2,000 Guineas, the St James's Palace and the Eclipse this season mean he has a lot to do.

O'Brien runs Carpanetto in the Grade One Man O'War Stakes on the same card and that colt will also be ridden by the top American jockey Edgar Prado.

There is huge Irish interest on the Continent tomorrow with Dermot Weld's 2,000 Guineas winner Refuse To Bend (Pat Smullen) lining up for Longchamp's Prix du Moulin. Weld has also declared Military Option (Pat Shanahan) as a possible pacemaker. Statue Of Liberty, runner- up in the Sussex Stakes, will represent O'Brien in the mile Group One. Michael Kinane travels to Baden Baden, where Black Sam Bellamy goes in the 12-furlong Group 1 prize.

The home action tomorrow is at Roscommon and Punchestown and at the western track there will be the interesting first start over hurdles of the high class flat performer One Won One. At Punchestown Dermot Weld can keep the home fires burning with Mutakarrim and Naahil while Mr Wong looks the one in the Beginners Chase.
