RACING/Previews: All of today's jumps meetings are subject to 7.30 inspections this morning. Newcastle, Ascot and Wincanton have all decided to take a look as a sharp frost was expected across the country last night.

Newcastle, who host the Tote Eider Northern National, called a further inspection after passing an initial examination yesterday.

The track was raceable yesterday but clerk of the course James Armstrong has decided to take another look. Ascot clerk of the course Nick Cheyne is reasonably hopeful of their meeting, which features the Grade One Ritz Club Chase, going ahead. Officials at Wincanton are also optimistic of their meeting getting the thumbs up.
