YEE - hi! The world's oldest pair ofjeans have gone on display in the original Levi's flagship store in London.
The Levi 50ls date back to between 1886 and 1902 when Levi Strauss himself was in charge, and were bought by the company for the world.
They were visible this week behind bullet proof glass in the Regent Street store and will then return to the US.
Although the jeans are about 100 years old they are almost indistinguishable from modern 501s. Fraying around the ankles, probably due to spur damage, suggests that the original owner was a cowboy. Of course.
