David Davies (Acting FA chief executive): Close to Hoddle, he controversially co-wrote Hoddle's World Cup diary that caused tension amongst players and their manager. It contained Hoddle's view that if he could have changed anything about France '98, it would have been to have his faith-healing guru Eileen Drewery along with the squad.

Geoff Thompson (age 53, acting FA chairman): As chairman, he sits on every committee in an exofficio role. He is a vice-president of the FA and was previously the FA Council representative for Sheffield and Hallamshire.

David Dein (55): He represents the Premier League on the committee. Dein is the Arsenal vice-chairman.

David Sheepshanks (46): Sheepshanks is deputy chairman of the Football League after a spell as chairman. He is also the current chairman of Ipswich.
