The Leitrim selectors were still deliberating over their team to face Galway in the Bank of Ireland Connacht football final late last night.
The side was due to be announced at training but the selectors were still in discussion well after the session had ended. It is anticipated that there will be only one change to the team from that which defeated Roscommon, with Ollie McGuinness or Padraig Flynn expected to step in for the suspended Colin Regan.
Dublin manager Tom Carr will finalise his selection to face Kildare this evening.
At Monday's ceremony for the An Post-GAA hurling team of the millennium, Cork legend Christy Ring was listed at number 10 on the team. The Cloyne clubman was, in fact, selected by the committee at number 12. Jim Langton, the Kilkenny great, was originally selected at number 10. Suffice to say that both hurlers would, of course, have proven adept on either wing.
The commemorative stamps, featuring each of the honoured hurlers, will be in circulation from early next week.
