Limerick SF

Limerick manager Liam Kearns has called up four championship debutants for the Munster football championship first-round game against Cork in Kilmallock on Saturday. Defenders Pat Windle and Conor Mullane will make their first starts at this level along with half forward Timmy Carroll. Brian Begley has made one appearance with the senior hurlers but this will be his first championship start with the football side.

Two vacancies have been left in the full back line as Ger O'Connor and Mark O'Riordan await fitness tests. The team also features seven players who lined out for Limerick in last Saturday's All-Ireland under-21 final with Tyrone in Mullingar. Ja- son Stokes, John Galvin, Pat Ahern, and Colm Hickey all played against Tyrone along with Mullane, Begley and Carroll.

Wexford SF

Wexford make one change from the team that beat Carlow last Sunday for the match against Wicklow on Saturday, their final game in the Leinster round-robin series. Scott Doran, who made a comeback from retirement just before the championship, will start as full forward with John Hegarty moving into the corner. Ross Dempsey is the player to lose out.

Wicklow SF

Kevin O'Brien, who missed the match against Longford last Sunday, will return for the game against Wicklow. But Thomas Harney, sent off against Longford, is ruled out.

Sligo SF

Sligo's preparations for next month's Connacht championship game against Mayo have been hit by a spate of injuries to key players. Ruled out of the June 11th showdown at Markievicz Park are forward Tommy Brennan and midfielder Con O'Meara who injured a collarbone playing for his club Tourlestrane in a club game last weekend.

NFL final

Meath manager Sean Boylan will this evening announce the team to face Derry in Saturday's National Football League final replay in Clones. Definitely out is Graham Geraghty although the length of his suspension handed down by the GAC last night won't be known until today.

It appears increasingly likely that Tommy Dowd and Enda McManus will return to the starting line-up. Dowd was troubled by a back injury for most of last summer but came through a hard challenge game with Galway last weekend.

Derry manager Eamonn Coleman will also name his team this evening. There is a big doubt over goalkeeper Eoin McCloskey who had a disciplinary charge with the GAC last night and his availability won't be known until today.

Camogie final

Vivienne Harris will captain the Cork team for Saturday's camogie league final in Tullamore where Cork are seeking a record six senior titles in a row. Their opponents Tipperary, who won the inaugural league title in 1977, are seeking their second title.
