BOXING:KATIE TAYLOR racked up yet another win with a four-round blitz of America's Liz Leddy at the Silver Springs Hotel in Cork last night.

The World number-one hammered out a unanimous decision over the Portland BC lightweight, who took a standing count in the 4th, to earn her 124th win from 131 outings since November 2001.

Taylor will headline against Leddy again this evening in the Peter Crotty Memorial tournament at the Dungarvan Sports Centre in Waterford.

Tonight’s clash will be Taylor’s last contest before May’s crucial AIBA World Women’s Championships and Olympic qualifiers in Qinhuangdao, China.

US lightweight N’yteeyah Sherman withdrew from a scheduled clash with Taylor in Waterford tonight. Sherman picked up a facial injury in training on Tuesday.

The Bray woman heads to Ukraine on Monday with Tyrone McCullagh and Chris Phelan to join the Irish Elite men’s squad in the training camp in Kiev. The men’s squad are preparing for next month’s final Olympic qualifier for Europe in Trabzon, Turkey.

Meanwhile, two sessions of National Senior Cadet quarter-finals will be decided at Dublin’s National Stadium today. The Championships began yesterday.
