Star Of Bethlehem can score a timely victory in the novice hurdle at Gowran Racing: Park's six-race fixture this afternoon. The Michael O'Brien-trained runner followed up a Down Royal bumper success with a not unexpected victory over the highly rated Watson Lake at Fairyhouse.

The standard in today's contest is set by the 124-rated Arch Stanton who makes a first appearance in almost nine months. It looks a standard that Star Of Bethlehem is well capable of coping with. O'Brien should also strike in the mares novice chase where Stashedaway will be short odds to follow up a 15 length success at Punchestown.

Royal All Star brings a 104 rating to the three-mile maiden hurdle but the unexposed Walk Over looks a better option.
