Bray Wanderers looking for new manager as Croly quits

Bray Wanderers were again looking for a new manager yesterday after it was confirmed that neither Trevor Croly nor his assistant John Gill would be returning to the club after what has been described as a breakdown in trust stemming from problems with the payment of players’ wages last weekend.

It appeared last night that David Cassidy might again be asked to take a role in selecting the team for today’s game in Limerick where Wanderers will be looking to establish a 12-point lead over the bottom-placed side. Bray took seven points from five games, and made it safely through a round of the cup, during Croly’s brief spell in charge.

Joseph Ndo and Gavin Dykes will again be in charge of Sligo Rovers as they look to bounce back from their defeat last week by Bray with a home win over Galway United.

The hosts are are without a string of players for the game, though, with John Russell, Jeff Henderson, Kevin Devaney, Stephen Folan and Ruairi Keating all ruled out while the visitors will be missing Jason Molloy and Andy O’Connell. Sam Oji is rated a doubt.
