RACING DIGEST PUNCHESTOWN:Dusty Sheehy's Trafford Lad is likely to take his next step up the chasing ladder at Punchestown this weekend.
A Grade One winner over hurdles last season, the six-year-old was given the race by the stewards when he made his fencing debut at this venue last month.
Sheehy is planning to step his charge back up to the highest level in the Drinmore Novice Chase at Fairyhouse at the end of the month and is hoping some more experience will stand him in good stead.
"We gave him an entry just to see what the race would turn out like and, looking at the entries, I would say it is a strong possibility he will run," said the trainer.
"Hopefully he will get some more experience and get the money as well, and if he comes out of it in good shape he will probably go for the Drinmore.
"He will have improved a bit since the last day, but we're only just starting to wind him up now really.
"Having said that, I would be happy enough with him at this stage. We just don't want the ground to be bottomless."
BRAVE INCA:Trainer Colm Murphy is unlikely to let his 10-year-old star take his chance in Sunday's Maplewood Developments Hurdle at Punchestown, with Murphy electing to bide his time with the 2006 Champion Hurdle hero.
Brave Inca has been off the track since April 2007 due to injury, but Murphy had been hoping his nine-time Grade One winner would be ready to return at the weekend.
However, the gelding is taking longer to come to hand than Murphy anticipated, and he could now head to Fairyhouse on November 30th for the Hatton's Grace Hurdle.
"It's very unlikely that Brave Inca will run at the weekend as he is taking a while to get to full fitness," said the Co Wexford handler.
Murphy, meanwhile, is hoping to give smart prospect Zaarito a spin over obstacles in the near future before a possible run in the Bar-One Racing Royal Bond Novice Hurdle on November 30th. The six-year-old was unbeaten on his first three outings in bumpers and finished third when sent off favourite for the Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival in March.
Murphy is hoping to aim his charge at the Grade One event at Fairyhouse at the end of the month, but would like to give him a run beforehand so he can gain some valuable experience.
COMPLY OR DIE:English Grand National winner Comply Or Die could make his seasonal reappearance in the Servo Computer Services Handicap Chase at Cheltenham's Paddy Power meeting this weekend.
David Pipe is considering giving the Aintree hero his first run of the campaign in the stamina-sapping contest, with the nine-year-old having been rested since his success in the showpiece in April.
"He gave us an amazing day at Aintree and it still hasn't really sunk in yet," Pipe said. "He came out of the race in great fashion, is cantering daily and is in great form.
"He is in on Saturday and we will have a look at the entries and decide if he runs. If he doesn't go there, then he will go to the Hennessy - but it is unlikely he will run in both races."
CHELTENHAM:Silver Jaro heads a six-strong Irish challenge for the Greatwood Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham on Sunday. Tom Hogan's charge is likely to be joined by Jubilant Note, Stage Manager, Schelm, Mudslinger and the Paul Nolan-trained Cuan Na Grai.
LIMERICK:Horse Racing Ireland have announced that the Limerick meeting which was cancelled yesterday will now take place on Monday, November 17th.
INSPECTIONS:Today's meetings at Lingfield and Exeter are subject to 7.30am inspection.
