SCOTLAND became the Johnnie Walker European golf team champions for the fourth time in six attempts in Spain yesterday. Rounds of four under par by Craig Ronald and two under by John Chillas gave them a seven stroke margin over the rest of the field.
England, in third place behind defending champions Spain, were fired by an inspired last nine holes from Ged Eurey. The Pleasington club professional shot four birdies from the 10th to finish with a three under par 69 which kept England, ahead of Ireland, with Wales in joint fifth place.
