Australia captain Michael Hooper ruled out of Wales trip

Wallabies skipper misses out on Principality Stadium encounter with a sprained foot

Australia captain Michael Hooper has been ruled out of Saturday's Autumn Nations Series clash with Wales.

The Wallabies announced on Twitter that Hooper was suffering from a sprained foot and would miss the Principality Stadium encounter.

Hooper, 30, won his 118th Test cap in Australia’s 32-15 loss to England last weekend, but went off during the second half.

The Wallabies added that prop James Slipper will captain the team against Wales.
