WICKLOW SFC:AN INJURY-TIME goal by St Mary's wing forward Eamonn Rossiter gave his team a sensational 1-7 to 0-8 victory over Baltinglass in the semi-final clash at Aughrim yesterday.
St Mary’s must have felt it was not going to be their day as the game drifted into injury time and they had blazed wide three good chances for an equaliser.
Still the Karl O’Dwyer-trained St Mary’s kept pressing forward.
Keith Byrne fed the ball to Jim Cushe who pumped the ball across the face of the Baltinglass goal to dangerman Eamonn Rossiter who fired to the net from close range.
The second semi-final is held up due to an appeal by Blessington following the awarding of their quarter-final to county champions Rathnew. Blessington had failed to return to the pitch for the last five minutes following a serious neck injury to one of their players.
