Bohemians 0 Bray Wanderers 0:MISSING A proverbial sitter and twice hitting the woodwork, Bohemians had to settle for a point on a frustrating night at Dalymount.

But midfielder Keith Buckley knows he should have sealed all three for Aaron Callaghan’s much improved side on 70 minutes.

Keith Ward fed Karl Moore on the left and his inviting low cross needed a tap in at the far post. Buckley, though, somehow sliced wide with the goal gaping.

Substitute Dinny Corcoran then thought he’d won it 10 minutes from time, but saw his lob over keeper Darren Quigley bounce off the crossbar.

Starting as they finished, Bohemians began confidently, coming within inches of taking a fifth minute lead. Given a little too much room some 25 yards from goal, Ryan McEvoy needed little invitation to shoot and his left-footed effort shaved Quigley’s crossbar.

Bray may have arrived without a win in five, but they took the game to Bohemians for much of the first half, almost punishing a defensive mistake on 32 minutes.

Having called for it, Bohemians’ goalkeeper Andy McNulty fumbled a low cross from Dan Massey and defender Kevin Feely did well to get his body in the way of Seán Houston’s shot to deflect the ball out for a corner. Bray captain Danny O’Connor had to do likewise a minute later after some neat skill by Buckley resulted in his getting in a goal bound volley.

The game continued to struggle to come to life as Bohemians’ defender Feely looped a header from Ward’s super little free kick on 57 minute. Dave Mulcahy then just failed to connect with a low cross from Dwayne Wilson six minutes later as Bohemians got the upper hand.
