Offaly 4-9 London 0-10 Offaly, as expected, cruised through to the second round of the senior football qualifiers when they finished with 17 points to spare over London in Tullamore on Saturday.

The home side were not overly impressive, particularly in the first half until an injury-time goal by Ciarán McManus shot Offaly into a 1-9 to 0-6 interval lead.

A different picture unfolded on the change of ends, as an early Seán Grennan goal sparked a spate of scores, including two goals inside a minute by McManus.

Both sides finished with 14 players, London substitute Oliver Fitzgerald and Offaly's John Reynolds being red-carded four minutes before the final whistle.
