Cork IT 2-10 Waterford IT 1-11:CORK STAR Paudie O'Sullivan struck for two valuable goals in an improved Cork IT second-half performance in Cork last night.

The home side trailed by 1-6 to 0-4 at the break after Eoin Murphy’s frees and Shane Walsh’s 19th-minute goal boosted Waterford IT’s hopes.

The visitors maintained that lead 10 minutes into the second half at 1-9 to 1-4 despite O’Sullivan goaling following a Colin Fennelly run in the 32nd minute. But CIT dominated thereafter.

Fennelly linked brilliantly with O’Sullivan for a smashing second goal 12 minutes from the end to level matters at 2-6 to 1-9 as WIT went 19 minutes without a score. Points from frees by Tommy Quaid and Jamie Coughlan reflected CIT’s dominance and a third David Drake point from play in the 58th minute sealed an important victory.
