Crescent 17 CBC Cork 13:CRESCENT bridged a 19-year gap by winning the Munster Schools' Junior Cup in an exciting final against CBC Cork at Musgrave Park yesterday.

They secured their fifth title with a brilliant, 52nd-minute try from outstanding fullback Greg O’Shea, who also converted.

It came against the run of play after Christians had dominated but only had a penalty from scrumhalf Ryan Foley for their efforts.

Crescent led 17-8 (O’Shea try, Diarmuid Dee conversion and penalty) going into the final stages, before an injury-time try from Pat Leahy narrowed the gap to add to a first-half try from outhalf Seán Quill.
