DAVID O'LEARY, the Leeds coach, shrugged off suggestions of a post-match fight with Arsenal's Patrick Vieira after last night's English FA Cup tie at Highbury.

O'Leary, clearly involved in a shoving match with Vieira as the teams walked off the field, said: "It was absolutely nothing. Just something in the heat of the moment when feelings are high." O'Leary pointed to George Graham and said: "Your man there stopped anybody getting involved, but there was nothing in it really."

Ian Wright was also embroiled in an after-match confrontation with Ian Harte. Wright, who had come in for some tough treatment from Leeds substitute David Wetherall, at one point appeared to slap him around the face during the game and had to be led away from Harte at the end by Arsenal physio Gary Lewin.
