MANAGERLESS Galway United's tale of woe continued as they suffered their 10th premier division defeat of the season when conceding three goals in the last quarter of the game against Drogheda United at Terryland Park yesterday.
The opening half ended scoreless as both sides had made heroic efforts to break the deadlock.
The introduction of Tom Sullivan for Barry O'Connor on 71 minutes certainly made a huge impact as he scored two goals in a two-minute spell.
The player was only on the pitch five minutes when he broke the deadlock, side-footing home from six yards after a Terry Vaughan cross. Two minutes later O'Connor cut in from the right wing and then slipped the ball under the body of the advancing goalkeeper, Joey Power.
Drogheda completed their task on 90 minutes when Colm Tresson was on hand to tap home after a Bobby Browne effort was blocked on the line.
